Claire will be reading from her new chapbook “Skinny-Dipping Before Breakfast.”

Claire Carpenter roams the streets of Yakima on a green bicycle, reciting poems to herself.   In her wilder days, she once spent a winter at a research station in Antarctica and a summer on a sailboat in the Galapagos Islands.  Now she teaches biology at Yakima Valley College and raises goats and boys and free-range vegetables.  She wanders sagebrush-covered ridges with her dog, dreaming of future adventures.

In person is at the new Larson Gallery, 1606 W. Nob Hill Blvd.
When we gather together in person, masks are optional.
