Day after day, our volunteers, often members themselves, make a difference by driving, visiting, gardening or just bringing a friendly smile.
Volunteer Opportunities
We recognize the value of our volunteers time and do what we can to make the experiences gratifying and fulfilling. We try to match volunteers with opportunities that fit their interests and schedules.
As a volunteer, you might be asked to:
Provide rides to appointments
Occasionally help with light yard work
Call or visit a member who may be homebound to combat loneliness.
Be a walking buddy or exercise buddy
Help with committees, events, and potlucks
Host educational presentations or lead interest groups
Help with outreach for Yakima Selah Neighbors’ Network

Applicants must pass a background check and attend volunteer training and orientation.
